Ray Cox has developed a heat technique to raise colour from pewter which gives unique results each time.
His Newfoundland Mummers are based on the Mummers who would march down the streets of St. John's during the mid 1800's.
He has worked on the hand cast bowls for at least fifteen years. The solid metal is made liquid and poured into an open mould to reform itself in the air. The swirl tells a story of motion.
Each of Ray's pieces are unique and tell a story.
