I graduated in 2003 with a BFA from Sir Wilfred Grenfell College. I am an avid printmaker and member of the board of directors at St. Michael’s Printshop in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and I currently work as a commercial screen printer.

At the moment, my work revolves around the extrapolation of blind contour drawings and the modification of autobiographical comics. I am a big fan of non-traditional comic artists, many of whom deal with personal stories that are often funny, tragic, and simply mundane.

My recent series of linocuts are derived from film stills from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, such as The Philadelphia Story and Vertigo. The interesting thing I have found is that no matter how precise I try to be, the facial expressions of the characters, and therefore the mood of the image, is always altered from the original still. I love this element of surprise, and the result is often humorous or sinister.
