I
am interested in exploring different facets of life through
my work. Our lives can be broken down into segments such as
our experience as it unfolds in a timeline. This could be a
psychological event such as a distinctly happy moment from the
past or present or an observation of our physical environment
such as a space in a home. My work, which could be a print,
painting, mixed media work or artist book, explores these concerns
through experimentation with vivid colour, pattern, texture,
and repitition of form. I begin with a general idea, then take
direction from the artwork as the piece evolves.
Life’s journey is a rich and constantly evolving one.
It is fertile ground for the creation of new work. |
