Sue Miller is a painter, creating her vivid landscapes from her studio in Ontario, Canada.

Her work is very dependant apon her spontaneous reactions to the world she sees before her, not planning too far ahead, remaining open to possibilities during the process. This parallels how Sue likes to look at life in general.

Most of Miller's inspiration for dramatic landscape comes from the east coast of Canada. Sue has a deep connection & love for the geography & way of life that the maritime provinces posses. For the past 4 years, most of her work has been focused on Newfoundland. A place that has captured her soul.

While still being struck by the beauty & drama of landscape, or starkness of architecture, her paintings are evolving into something more atmospheric. Instead of literal translations, they are becoming more of a retrospective of the collective landscapes in Sue's memory, creating works that leave the viewer with only the essence & emotion of the scene.

"Authentic creation, is very important. Without being trendy or contriving a gimmick, it is the only way that an artist can honestly express themselves. That way, achieving fulfilment is more likely & the art speaks to those who are truly interested in that authenticity."

"My creative process is inseparable from my life. It can be quite chaotic at times, but it is from that chaos, that the creative spirit is nurtured."

"One must have chaos present in life to give birth to a dancing star" - Neitchze
